About the Book

Althamaniah aims to introduce young adults to Arab history in an interesting and easy-to-understand way, by telling stories and facts that review the most important events, monuments, symbols and historical figures in the Arab world, starting from pre-Islamic civilizations to the modern era.

Dear little reader,

Have you ever wondered about the secrets that our ancient Arab heritage holds? Behind every symbol of this heritage, there is a story that travels through time, carrying within it the wisdom of our ancestors and opening windows for us into beautiful worlds of customs, arts, values, and innovations that shaped our identity.

In this book, we will take you on an enjoyable journey to discover eight symbols of Arab heritage, some of which are material, such as architecture, fashion, universities, and cities, and others are immaterial, such as poetry, popular biographies, and proverbs.

Working to build a generation aware of its heritage and civilization has become a necessity in our accelerating time and in the age of digital life. Enriching the Arab library with authentic content that carries within it the nobility of our history and the pride of our ancestors is no longer a luxury, but rather a shared responsibility between producing and sponsoring institutions, as well as those responsible for education and development.
